- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I purchased an $80.00 prime rib roast on Christmas Eve to serve my family. It didn't have a best before date on the package but I cooked it that same night. When I opened the package the meat was discoloured... grey in some areas and smelled like fish. I had nothing else to cook so took my chances. All 5 family members got sick.
